Comfort, protection and performance - layer by layer
Our ski wear is constructed using a 3-layer fabric system: a durable outer shell, a waterproof and breathable membrane, and an inner lining that protects the membrane while adding comfort. The result is durability, dry comfort and reliable performance in all winter conditions.
Waterproof Rating – 20.000 mm
What does it mean?
Waterproofness is measured by water column pressure (mm).
A 20.000 mm rating means the fabric can withstand heavy snow, slush and
moisture – even under pressure from sitting, bending or carrying gear.
All our garments are tested and approved for 20.000 mm, ensuring
top-level protection on and off the slopes.
- All-day skiing in wet conditions
- Frequent contact with snow (seat/knees)
- Off-piste and mixed weather
- 5.000 mm: Water-repellent – light rain/snow
- 10.000 mm: Waterproof for regular use
- 15.000 – 20.000 mm: Highly waterproof – all-day snow or slush
- 20.000+ mm: Extreme waterproofing –demanding/off-piste conditions
Breathability – 20.000 g/m²/24h
Why does breathability matter?
Breathability describes the fabric’s ability to let moisture and sweat
escape.
At 20.000 g/m²/24h (MVTR), up to 20.000 grams of vapor can pass through
one square meter of fabric per day – keeping you dry from the inside, even
during activity.
Combined with 20.000 mm waterproofing, this ensures technical performance at
the highest level.
Tip: Pair with moisture-wicking base and
mid layers – avoid cotton next to the skin for best results.
Insulation – targeted warmth
The balance between warmth and freedom of movement
Our jackets feature 60 g/m² insulation in the body and 40 g/m² in
the sleeves.
Pants are insulated with 40 g/m² throughout.
This ensures warmth where it’s needed – without restricting mobility,
ideal for active skiing.
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100
All Woody garments are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified and tested for over 300 harmful substances, including heavy metals, formaldehyde and PFOA/PFOS.
Your guarantee that the fabric is safe and skin-friendly, even during daily wear.
100% PFAS-Free
We use no fluorocarbon or PFAS-based coatings in our water-
and dirt-repellent treatments.
Our PFAS-free construction avoids so-called “forever chemicals” that
accumulate in nature and the human body.
FAQs
Not at all – it ensures protection from wet snow, seat/knee pressure and unpredictable
weather. Perfect for full-day skiing.
Yes – for most skiers. Combine with proper base layers for optimal moisture management.
Water-repellent (~5.000 mm) handles light precipitation. Waterproof (10.000–20.000+ mm) resists constant snow, rain and pressure.
Heavier insulation (60 g/m²) in the body and lighter (40 g/m²) in the sleeves provides warmth without limiting movement.
It means no fluorocarbon coatings – completely free from harmful “forever chemicals”.
